Your digital key pair

On first use, the app generates a digital key pair on your device – a private and a public key. The private key never leaves your device. You register the public key with LWYRUP.

Sign-in works as a cryptographic challenge: the service poses a task only your private key can solve. No secret is transmitted – so none can be intercepted, phished, or stolen in a data breach. That is why a key pair is superior to a password here, not a lack of security.

What this means in practice

• Your content is encrypted on your device before it reaches us.
• The engaged law firm reads what is needed for advice – over an end-to-end encrypted channel.
• Data is processed exclusively within the EU.

Your backup

You save your private key as a QR code. Whoever holds it has access – treat it accordingly and keep it safe. To switch devices, scan the code.
